Energy Audits
An energy audit is a technical study in which the behavior and energy consumption of a building or campus (residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, etc.) is evaluated to identify opportunities for savings and determine feasible, cost-efficient, and meaningful conservation measures. This service is offered at different levels of detail depending on the need and conditions of the facilities:
Tier 1
- Facilities walk-through
- Energy bill analysis
- Identification of low-cost energy conservation measures
- Identification of potential capital improvements that merit further consideration (Tier 2)
Tier 2
- Includes all Tier 1 activities and in addition:
- Data collection of loads or individual appliances.
- More detailed energy breakdown
- Savings and economic analysis of all energy conservation measures
- Identification of energy conservation measures that merit additional consideration ( Tier 3)
Tier 3
- Includes all Tier 2 activities and in addition:
- Special attention to energy conservation measures identified in Tier 2 that are capital intensive.
- More detailed site analysis
- Power and energy metering by operating period
- More detailed economic analysis
- More detailed simulations, computations and engineering analysis
