Gil Santos is a graduate of the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, where he studied electrical engineering after 19 years of experience at American Airlines.

Since 2019, he has been working as an assistant electrical engineer at Verdifica. He is an installer of various solar photovoltaic and backup power system solutions. He also provides technical support, commissioning, permit management, maintenance, and inspection to residential and commercial-scale Photovoltaic and electrical systems. He has already worked on dozens of renewable energy projects in Puerto Rico.
